Matt Ryman

Senior Pastor

Matt became the Senior Pastor at UPC in the spring of 2013. He earned a Master of Divinity degree in 2009, and is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Ministry program at Reformed Theological Seminary - Orlando. In addition to his role at UPC, Matt serves on the Central Florida Presbytery MNA Committee, and is on the Executive Board of the Florida Church Planting Network. Matt is married to Hana, and they have four children.

Mike Osborne

Associate Pastor

Mike Osborne hails from South Carolina. He's been a pastor since 1986, serving churches in Missouri, South Carolina, and elsewhere in Florida before coming to UPC in August, 2001.  Mike oversees our Life Group program, adult education, and pastoral care ministries. He is married to Suzy and they have four children and eleven grandchildren.

Michael Hart

Assistant Pastor

After coming to understand the gospel in college at Murray State University, Michael served two years in Brazil doing campus ministry. He left Brazil for seminary where he met his wife, Miriam, on a blind date. Michael married her the summer of 2007 and they headed to Cleveland, MS where he served as Assistant Pastor at Covenant Presbyterian Church. They were called to UPC in October of 2013. They have three children.

Jack Bourret

Worship Director

After being born and raised in New Hope, MN, Jack's family moved to Palm City, FL in 2002. He came to Orlando in the fall of 2008 to attend UCF, where he majored in Applied Mathematics and minored in Music. He met his wife, Jamie, while attending college and they were married in December of 2011. After serving as the Youth Worship Leader for four years, he became the Interim Worship Director at UPC in June 2012 and accepted the permanent position a year later. He enjoys playing guitar, singing, watching movies, and going on bike rides and having picnics with Jamie.

Linda Wheatley

Director of Children's Ministry

Linda Wheatley is a native Floridian, from Tampa. She and her husband Paul live in Orlando, and have three daughters. 


Linda first came on staff as an assistant and later was asked to fill the role as the director of children's ministry where she has been serving since May 1995.


Linda leads the ministry which includes nursery through the fifth grade. 

Gaby Narvaez-Segrest

Nursery Director

Gaby Narvaez-Segrest is our Nursery coordinator.


She oversees the scheduling of volunteers to care for our littlest ones.

Joshua Gilman

Youth & Families Director

Joshua was born and raised in Sarasota, FL. He spent one year abroad in Melbourne, Australia with his parents and went to a private, all-boys school where he learned the art of music in the Orchestra. Since that day, he has fed a growing passion for worshiping God through music and leading others in worship. He attended the University of Florida from the Fall of 2005 through Spring 2009, where God altered the course of his studies from Civil Engineering to Religion in pursuit of a career ministering in the church. Shortly after graduating, he married his high school sweetheart Lorra Anne and packed a moving truck bound for Citrus County to be molded and shaped in 3 years of student ministry at Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church. Now, Joshua attends RTS.

Michael & Rachel Blackston

Redeemer Counseling

Michael and Rachel Blackston lead Redeemer Counseling here at UPC. They are Licensed Mental Health Counselors for the state of Florida, receiving their Master of Arts in Counseling degrees from Reformed Theological Seminary. They worked at an Oviedo counseling center before coming to UPC. Rachel got her Masters of Education in Counseling Psychology degree from James Madison University, and worked as a career counselor and adjunct faculty member at JMU and then the University of Central Florida. Rachel loves working with adolescents, women and couples. Michael specializes in helping men deal with depression, sexual addiction, masculinity and gender issues, and abuse. He also enjoys working with couples experiencing relational difficulties and adolescents with self-esteem or behavioral struggles. 

Tanya Turner

Business Manager

Tanya was born in Kentucky and attended the University of Kentucky in Lexington where she met her husband, Fred. They fell in love while playing guitar together in the university jazz band. They now have grown twin daughters.


After moving to Orlando in 1991, Tanya became the full-time director of the Adult Literacy League, a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching adults to read, and was then a staff accountant with Rodney Eddins, CPA, for the 5 years immediately before joining the UPC staff in 2000. Tanya and her family started attending UPC in 1996 where she and Fred played in the praise band for many years, and then moved out with UPC's church plant, Christ Kingdom, in 2005.

Megan Brown

Megan was born and raised in Ocala, FL and moved to Orlando in 2005 to attend the University of Central Florida.


After graduating with a degree in Early Childhood Education, she became a substitute teacher and later moved on to teach kindergarten.


In April 2011, God called her to join the UPC staff. Megan and her husband David have one daughter, Emma Joan.

Lisa Stephens

Event Coordinator

Lisa was born and raised in Childress, TX and studied at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, TX. She worked in marketing and management for a real estate developer in Uptown Dallas for 14 years before moving to Orlando in December 2001 where she has worked with a real estate broker and investor for the last 5 years. Lisa has been a member of UPC since 2002 and is currently serving in the ministry roles of a Welcome Team Service Coordinator and has been a part of the Saturday morning breakfast Manna Ministry team for almost 7 years serving alongside her 13 year old son, Travis. Her favorite role is Mom to Travis.
